Education experts meeting in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, on 22-23 January 2026 agree on four priority themes, i.e. Teacher Training and Capacity Strengthening (pre-and in-service); Parental and Community Engagement in Nurturing Values and Life Skills (VaLi); Best Practices for Nurturing VaLi in a Whole-school context; and Best Practices for Assessing VaLi at Multiple Levels, to form the basis for a regional research agenda for the Action for Life Skills and Values in East Africa (ALiVE) initiative.
